Because the name was archaic, and it was determined that the majority of the public could not identify what it meant.

There is a move underfoot to further consolidate other departments and rename some of our biggest fundraising programs.

Cotton Mather, I'm not doubting you - in fact, I really don't even have a reason to care - but I'm curious............ Do you work for HQ?? Or do you have some of "in" with the powers-that-be?? Seriously - just curious!
