A few minutes ago, someone brought me cake. It’s somebody’s birthday that they seem to think I know.
I said thank you and ate it.
Then just a minute or two ago, someone else brought me cake. They also think I know the birthday person (Anush but who knows if that is a boy or a girl?)
I said thank you and ate that piece too.

I want to laugh at this, Ferd, but that would seem like saying that I get it--and I don't.
