Re: Laptop Recommendations??

I know you will enjoy the computer - and I think it's awesome that you got it in PINK !!!!

When I got my newest one (3 years ago) - the one I wanted, I could have gotten in red. However, I let two men (DH and my boss) talk me into this one because it had the 17 in screen and HD ........ SO WHAT !!! I have rarely used it to view anything that needed HD AND the 17 in screen is TOOOOOOOO big to travel with....

Moral of this story... I'm glad you got what YOU wanted!

As far at the iphone.... I'm not a huge ATT fan, but I have heard that the iphone is awesome!

BTW - since you bought the computer, I'm going to hijack your thread - if anyone can answer. I received an "iTouch" as a gift - have no use for it. Is there a way to have the engraved name removed from the back so I could sell it on Ebay?

You don't need to remove it. Just keep it on and sell it to me at a discount.

Re: Laptop Recommendations??

I'm a very devoted Mac boy and for sure, it's a great computer and pretty trouble-free. Never any viruses to worry about, amazing creative stuff. (Feel the "but" coming"?)

BUT....I have a fairly new, just out of warranty, MacBook Pro laptop, 15 inch, and this morning the back plastic of the screen came detached and I can't close it.

But get this....they don't "repair it", they "replace it".

$760. I'm pi.......better not say that. I've had this issue before with Mac and have some to the conclusion, that it's a great computer. Just don't ask them to fix it. They'll kill you. This is like a spark going bad and being told you have to replace the entire engine.

I'm a VERY unhappy Mac boy right now.

Re: Laptop Recommendations??

How did they fit a number pad on a LP less than 16 inches in size?

What would you consider a discount? I've used it to listen to music only about 3 times.

I take it all back. I took it to a different Apple store and they're gonna repair it for free. Zilch. Nada. Nothing. Free. Now I'm a happy Mac boy!

All I need is someone to drop about 8 grand on me and I'll Join you --> 27" iMac for desk, macbook pro for portable and software licenses (Adobe CS 4 is a killer. More creative types like me would transition if there were a free crossgrade from PC to Mac.
