I was hoping that maybe I could be a peacemaker and get to be called a child of God that way

Yes PO. Take that scripture and apply it to the reproof that I gave you.

On another thread. I didn't see several posts here until just now and frogger wants to move on.

"Faithful" and "obedient" as a "servant" to a "master" (Titus 2:9 and 1 Peter 2:18).

Even in mercy......

Hebrews 12:8 "But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons."

I now choose the word:

FATHER!

How could my expression of "Merciful" immediately trigger you to think "Chastisement?"

Because it is a part of His being merciful. He is the Potter and we are the clay.

Sometimes, I get the impression that some think it's all touch-feely and cotton clouds, which just simply is not true. To become "perfect/mature", we must endure correction, as well. That is mercy, at it's finest, not to allow someone to "waller in the mud", so to speak.

Then time to prove you are mature and endure the correction that I've had aimed at ya for the last few posts

Re: One word to describe God

The best single word that I think can be used to describe God is "Timmy".
