Walks in Islam, Peace Be Upon You.

I pray you've been well. I would like to discuss an Islamic belief. Can you address the al-Mahdi? I have a thread on the al-Mahdi under the section about Islam.

Many blessings my good friend.

Salaam!

Re: The Mosque Should Be Built!

Would my assertion that God would not be pleased by those who claim to be christians be true.

Any spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh..........

Should we just openly accept this religion if it is so wrong, did the apostles stand against false religion, they even stood against the orthodox Jews, who which was the original religion in a lot of those areas where they preached.

Wow, even the 9/11 Conspirators made their rounds on this post.

I suspect this thread is made up of contributions of 20 accounts, but only 5 people. Just a feelin'...

Re: The Mosque Should Be Built!

Who destroyed the WTC Towers? Osama bin Laden and his terrorist organization.

Why do I oppose the construction of a mosque on the site of one of the buildings damaged in the Islamist attacks (getting back on topic)? One reason, because I don't want to see this in Manhattan:

This behavior is inappropriate.

Despite my pontificating in support and suppose I could say a sentence similar to what you said. I oppose the building of the mosque, as in, I hope they don't get it done. I feel that way because of many of the families of the victims. I don't feel like I'm in a place where I can tell them how to feel. But I support their right to build it. Can those two things go hand in hand? Either way, that's the way I feel.

Sure (at least I think so). They have every right to build a house of worship and even a basketball court. No one is denying them that "right."

It's just a question of location and respect for those who suffered a terrible loss on that day. This in fact would include just about every American to some degree or another.

Re: The Mosque Should Be Built!

Why didn't the victorious Americans build a roller coaster and amusement park at Hiroshima? (Many people have brought this up).

Nothing tells the rest of the world about American culture than a good ol' roller coaster ride! To promote "cultural understanding" we have in fact build hundreds of different theme parks and amusement parks all over the world. Everybody likes to have fun!

But there is a time and a place for everything. Somethings would just be misunderstood if we insisted upon stamping "or mark" on everything.

There are sites where folks just need to tread respectfully and allow the locals to grieve. As Americans, we simply ask for the same respect.

Re: The Mosque Should Be Built!

they have no right to build. And true christians have no business supporting its construction.

But if i say i support the mosque , what does that mean .Does it mean that i donate money, or some tangible substance to help with its construction.

Or does it mean that having the mind of Christ, and having my heart right before God and being led of the Spirit that i think it is ok and of little signifigance .

Love not the world ,neither the things that are in the world ,if any man love the world the love of the Father is not in him.

It is impossible to support false religion and love God.If mans laws are contrary to Gods word ,then we are to heed Gods word.

When no fault could be found in Daniel, his enemies sought to have a law passed that made his worship of the true God ,illegal.

But Daniel did that which was contrary to the law and continued to please God in prayer.
