It was a horrible moment and completely unnecessary. Sure, I'm too politically correct, but it's a much better mistake to make, in my opinion. Why eliminate part of the audience by being loose with words? Makes no sense.

What did you do to your assistant? Would you have appreciated it if someone had caught the faux paux on film and posted it on a forum for analysis?
Maybe we should pray for GP that God would help him to be more considerate of others, to grow in grace and understanding what the will of the Lord is, and to become more and more like Jesus Christ.

Mizpeh, we've been posting preachers and politicians and others since this forum's inception ... and I'm sure the same was posted on NFCF and FCF for analysis ....

I grabbed the microphone, hit him on top of the head with it, fired him, called CPS and had his kids taken away from him, and then had a couple ex-cons set his house on fire.
We filmed it all and put it on our church website just so others would know I didn't approve.

Rob might, pretty soon, be able to turn you over to the authorities for stalking him.

Good point, although I object to the "whining" characterization.

But, seriously, when I view this thread, it comes across as, "I'm from Houston and so are they. I hate them and I want you to hate them too."
Just sayin'....
And GP is a little rough around the edges, but he is a very nice man. I have seen him speak to situations in people's lives that no one could have known but God. My best friend was one of those people. He turned to the audience and said, "If you drag up this woman's past, you are digging through the blood of Jesus Christ." Amen! She was delivered that night from YEARS of self-condemnation. It was an awesome service. He didn't know her from Adam.

Just some friendly advice, be careful, Dan, we reap what we sow and with what measure we mete out it will be measured to us again. Pointing out hypocrisies in others will eventually bite you in the backside unless of course you are void of hypocrisy and above reproach in all aspects of your life.
