That's why we still have our minivan - it's paid for. My husband's '93 Taurus broke down (something to do w/the head gasket), so he chose to buy a Yaris, considering his long drive to work. We're thinking about getting the ol' Taurus repaired for our son, though; since he's taking driver's ed this summer.

At 3.25 a gallon, that is 28.6 gals.

at 3.50 a gallon that is 26.57 gals.

It routinely takes 40-60 to fill my 2001 Plymouth Voyager which gets a whopping 18 MPG......

16 gallons @ 3.59 is $57.44.

See Post #41 again for the economics of this.

I had a vehicle that got 16-18 mpg on California Gas....

I bought a lightweight car I hate with 4 cyls that now gets about the same, and infact at one time was getting 12-14 mpg.

How much was gas when you bought your last car? Did you get functionality or comfort? OR did you get economy?

I choose functionality and have marked the day in 2008 I can go back to comfort.....

My 1998 Chevy Venture gets 23 around home on short runs.. and about 28 MPG on the interstate... Guess I'd better not complain too much...

My Mercury Grand Marquis gets 29 MPG.

I'm happy with the MPG, but not the PPG!

What does that work out to be in price per gallon?
