About TM's mom... my heart breaks for her... especially because she had to take a stand with TM about his behavior. Moms always feel like we could have and should have done more. I understand her pain and her inability to be reasonable about this situation. What I DO NOT understand is those who are playing on her pain to enhance their own agendas.

The mom, dad, and their lawyers have been awesome throughout this process. They have always advocated for peace no matter what happens.

I also agree about our hearts breaking for her loss. However what some people don't seem to understand is that hating her loss and what she is going through is not solved by erroneously convicting someone of purposefully killing him when they did not.

Maybe just looking for threats being made. They picked up a 15-year old for death threats against Jews on Twitter if GZ was acquitted.

WISE WORDS FOR THE NATION

My heart is heavy for that community right now, the Martin family for their tragic loss & the Zimmerman family who will live in fear & the nation, because this case brought out the ugliest of ugliness on both sides.

For those who think Zimmerman was really guilty, trust me, let it go. If he was lying & they got it wrong he WILL answer to a higher authority - there's no escaping that.

For those who are celebrating & support him, humble yourselves & do not give in to insensitive celebrating of a dead 17 year old nor should you throw this in anyone's face.

It's a tragedy all around.

The race-baiting, insensitivity & relentless vitriol from both sides means we have a LONG way to go as a nation.

This case didn't create any wounds or hatred, it revealed them. It brought them to the surface.
THAT is the real tragedy - that we have a ton of healing to do in terms of race relations in America.

I don't see what is wise about claiming people are celebrating the death of a 17 year old. Nobody is doing that except a marginal few crazies. Even those that believed GZ was not guilty and are glad that is how the jury voted, they are not celebrating his death. That's crazy

It's the emotionally charged that can make such an accusation. Most are saying no matter what, innocent or guilty, it's sad that TM died.

Making that sort of statement does not help the healing at all. It adds to it the evil speculation of those that believed GZ were innocent actually celebrate the death of a 17 year old...let alone any person's death
