Yes because these doctrines are not salvific in my opinion.

Re: Any hope for unity?

If the members of Christ's Body are not in unity with HIM, then they can never be in unity with each other.

Start at the right place: being one with Jesus Christ.

Re: Any hope for unity?

If each of us kept in mind that our beliefs and convictions are not infallible... how might that affect how we treat one another and how we fellowship??? If we were to keep in mind that each of us is a living extension of Jesus... How might that affect how we fellowship?

Re: Any hope for unity?

My point is that we've been drilled so hard with doctrinal legalism that we think of unity in terms of creed or article. We forget the greater dimensions of unity that can unite us in spirit... yet allow for various convictions and personal opinions.

I definitely agree.

Agree there are some things in the bible that are just to clear for us not to agree on. Anything else is just your personal opinion.

You should be allowed to have your opinion. God knows I have a few myself but I'm not trying to put people in a bad place that don't agree with me. Nor do I believe I should start another church just so I can get people in a building that agree with me.
