Classics of tomorrow will be today's Pentecostal CHANTS. Can you imagine that we have sunk into such musical vulgarity? Music is the language of the spirit. Since it is, we're rapidly going back to the guttural language of the Neanderthal.
The Pentecostal CHANT. Brother Strange, I enjoy a lot of your posts, but
you are badly mistaken in your opinion of modern worship music.

I have no idea what you are talking about either so I guess we're both in the same boat.

LOL...

There were none that I remember around my cave...

I fell out of a tree twice in my life. Maybe that is why I am so "strange," pun intended....

When I was very young, I climbed to the top of a pine tree for the mere fun of riding the small tree that would bend under my weight. Then I would drop to the ground as the small tree would bend low. Once the pine tree that I was riding down, broke instead of bending very much. I came down alright but at a much greater speed than I had planned on and stopped at a much greater rate of decelleartion than I had planned on. Dazed but alive, I slowly got up and determined there were no broken bones.

Another time, though a young adult, possessed of young romantic love, I wanted to give my girl a beautiful flower. I was able to reach the bottom limb from the bed of my Pickup truck. She watched as I climbed a very tall Southern Magnola tree. Since there were none any lower, I had to climb almost to the very top of that large tree to fetch it. It was a long climb up there, but I made it. Fetched the beautiful flower that smelled so sweet. I knew it would be just the perfect flower for the one that I loved.

As I started down the tree, a limb broke under my weight. I fell. I probably could have stopped my fall except that I would have to surrender the beautiful flower for my beloved. No way would I let it go. I came crashing down through the tree, breaking some limbs, bouncing off other ones all the while trying to catch a limb with my one free hand. I held firmly to the beautiful flower for very star of my eyes...my beautiful girl.

I landed with a very sold thud on the uplifted tailgate of the truck. I was really hurt. Though in great pain, bleeding and what I though were broken ribs with the wind knocked out of me, I lifted myself up with the big beautiful Magnolia pretending not to be hurt at all, the flower in perfect condition.

With a smile though in great pain, I presented it to my darling. She said in a surprised tone, "Oh, is that for MEEEEEEEE?"

It took me a while to be able to respond, I finally said, "Yes, M' am."

So, yes you are right. I have fallen out of a tree...two in fact.

The 'change' in 1Cor. 15 is marked by the sounding of the last trump which is seen in 1Thess. 4 it is the same. NOT some gradual changing back and forth while the church is yet on earth.
