St Matt,
I know you do not agree with all, and you have my respect.

As to interpretation, I believe there is some latitude, but when men of God make things salvational that scripture does not, there is a problem.

I have heard this term used recently after a church communion service. What is SPIRITUAL COMMUNION?

Does anyone know the origin of this doctrine and how is it refuted?

Sounds to me like Hutchins' "doctorate" has about as much credibility as Fred Foster's.

Maybe our old Bible school mate Jim Griffin could comment here since he is a spokesman for the NCO.

My hat is off to Jim as a oneness pentecostal with REAL academic credentials since leaving JCM.

Jim has a juris doctorate from South Texas College of Law in Houston ... one of the most revered law schools in the state of Texas.

My personal feelings is the title "New Church Order" is a bit lame and unoriginal.

Has anyone ever commented that it is just a spin off of Pro 'Rasslin?

In one long-running script - Hulk Hogan, Randy Savage etc. were part of the NWO ... New World Order ... with the black T-shirts, etc.

In some ways it's like Mozart playing "Achy-Breaky Heart" for Kenneth Phillips to be associated with a weak rip-off of an organizational name from a staged pro wrestling comedy sideshow.

I appreciate how plainly you address the issue, Timlan. I wondered about this earlier but someone offered an alternate suggestion for how the name came about.

Either way, whether from the ranks of Pro-Wrestling or from the underground of comic book conspiracies - just from a PR standpoint I think they would be well served to consider a new name.

"A New Church Order" might be a catchy tag line as long as you don't beat it to death. But I would be hesitant to sign on to any group that didn't take itself more seriously. No offense intended NCO guys, just my opinion of the name.

It's my understanding that the name was originated by KP.

No, not that I know of... but Hutchins at CoC is very good at marketing ... they have some really cool "Evolve" black t-shirts in their bookstore ... I bought one. Why don't you come down and visit us, TimLan, we'll get you one and ...maybe we can have dinner along with JG?

I'd like that.

Uh ... the dinner, not the t-shirt.

I'll keep you posted.

I love Houston and I'm there several times a year.

Cool beans ... I'd love to pick your brain ... especially on Yadon and PCI doctrine.
