I have been to churches where I get the evil eye if I wear my hair down. It never made much sense to me to always have to wear it up. So, maybe Reckhart has one good point there - if a woman's hair is her covering, there is nothing wrong with wearing it down.
When I saw the picture and article on Epley and Atlanta Bishop on the Apostolic Contender I was very suprised and upset by the article. There is absolutely nothing wrong with being friends and even fellowshipping (gasp) with other Christians - even if their definition of Christianity differs from ours. How do we win people to Christ if we have such narrow vision and proud spirits? It amazes me how people who strive so hard to live righteous lives and abide by the Bible can have such nasty attitudes towards anyone who doesn't hold the same views. The writers on that blog are mean-spirited. What a turn-off. It is sad that God-fearing, Bible-believing, Oneness people have adopted the same attitudes as the Pharisees of Jesus' day. The Pharisees obeyed the law, but Jesus was angry with them for their proud spirit. I think He would be just as angry with people like this who hold onto that same proud, haughty spirit. To post such an article like this one on their blog was more than just low and uncalled for. It shows their true spirits and attitudes. How ugly.
On a side note - How can they come here and copy a picture and post it on their website? Am I just really naive, or isn't that illegal or unethical?
