Re: Trump 2016
Part One
"""Donald Trump urged the American people to give Hillary Clinton and the Clinton Foundation "the benefit of the doubt" when it comes to questions surrounding the money they have received from foreign countries.
Trump sounded reluctant to go after Clinton in an interview with Fox News' Sean Hannity, which the pro-Trump host aired on Wednesday.
"We know that gays and lesbians in Saudi Arabia can get the death penalty ... would you ever take money from a country that treats gays, lesbians, Jews and Christians that way?" Hannity asked.
"Well you don't want to do that and if they knew about it that would be one thing and I assume they knew about it, bigly, but certainly they know about it now so maybe they can give the money back," Trump said, as the crowd laughed at his answer.
"Wait a minute, they knew about it," Hannity interrupted, "because that has been Saudi Arabia's practice for years."
"But you know what, let's give them the benefit of the doubt. They certainly knew —" Trump said before Hannity cut him off.
"You're going to give Hillary the benefit of the doubt?" Hannity interjected. "I'm not."
"You know what, you know what, they should give the money back," Trump responded."""

Re: Trump 2016
Part Two
"""Trump also appeared to soften his stance on building a wall along America's southern border and repealing Obamacare. Near the end of the hour-long pro-Trump broadcast, Hannity asked Trump about the confidence he had that he would actually deliver on his campaign promises.
"How certain does the wall get built? How certain does Obamacare get repealed?" Hannity asked.
"You can never say 100 percent, but I'm telling you pretty close to 100 percent the wall gets built," Trump responded. "We need it."
Hannity later followed up on Trump's willingness to demolish Obamacare and solicited Trump's response to the statement, "You will repeal Obamacare and protect our Second Amendment rights."
"You know Obamacare's dying of its own volition," Trump answered without acknowledging whether he would try to repeal it."""

Re: Trump 2016
Hannity must know he's been suckered. He's been one of the biggest media shills for the GOP nominee and yet he has to know, after this interview, that the GOP nominee is weak and mailing it in.

The question is, will he admit it before November.

He can't. He's anchored to the GOP nominee now. He should have listened when people were warning him about the GOP nominee. Instead, he (and the rest of FoxNews) gave him tons of free time on the network, effectively becoming the nominee's campaign mouthpiece.
Hannity can't do anything but hold on and hope HRC has a stroke or her medical records get leaked proving she has some debilitating disease.

Re: Trump 2016
Laura Ingram's website publishes article bashing "Constitution worshipping" Shapiro and Cruz.
smh
"""The Constitution worship of those like Shapiro and Sen. Ted Cruz reveals that the mainstream conservative movement has largely forgotten the principle of imperfectability.
The Constitution alone cannot guarantee some sort of political utopia. Man is fallen — a city on a shining hill cannot be guaranteed by a mere piece of paper. The fact that within a decade of the documents’ adoption the government was already trying to subvert it should be a clear indication of that reality."""
The Constitution... Ingram's writer believes it to be nothing more than "a mere piece of paper."
And I thought libs were bad. This is a "conservative" stating the Constitution is just a piece of paper.

Exactly, and making the same mistake that people like Esaias continually make, calling ALL #NeverTrump as Establishment/GOPe when there are good Constitutional Conservatives like Cruz, Shapiro and others who oppose Trump as well.

Re: Trump 2016
You have a problem with this?
In context, it seems somewhat true.
"The Constitution alone cannot guarantee some sort of political utopia. Man is fallen — a city on a shining hill cannot be guaranteed by a mere piece of paper. The fact that within a decade of the documents’ adoption the government was already trying to subvert it should be a clear indication of that reality.
The mainstream conservative movement has also abandoned any pretense of defending an existing moral order or social traditions, custom, convention, and continuity. It has caved on almost every radical social issue, from abortion to same-sex marriage, and implicitly supports a corporatist globalism that can be as destructive of traditional local customs as Communism.
Fundamentally, the mainstream conservative movement has forgotten that many of the political values it promotes are rooted in a culture it has failed to defend — and, in many cases, helped to erode."
