It is so funny when you listen to him you can close your eyes and hear Pastor Anthony Mangun preaching. Both - GREAT preachers and they sound so much alike!
ok thank you, Brother Pugh, I will make a point to try to hear him on TV.

Re: My favorite preachers

Watching Pastor Sheryl Brady preach to 18,000 women at Woman Thou Art Loosed/Bishop Jakes at Lakewood Church in Houston. INCREDIBLE!

And even when the preacher "has guts" and "preaches it hard" we rally around that by puffing out our chests and loudly complaining after service how "the liberals" and "the -fill in the blank-" crowd has "let down so much" that we need to "hear some fire" from the pulpit.

The culture is self perpetuating in a sense, but like all such carnal exercises it too is doomed to pass just as surely as the grass withers and the flowers fade.

Isaiah 40:7-11:

The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: because the spirit of the LORD bloweth upon it: surely the people is grass.

The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.

O Zion, that bringest good tidings, get thee up into the high mountain; O Jerusalem, that bringest good tidings, lift up thy voice with strength; lift it up, be not afraid; say unto the cities of Judah, Behold your God!

Behold, the Lord GOD will come with strong hand, and his arm shall rule for him: behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him.

He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: he shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young.

That my friend is a powerful statement. Thanks

I love ultra conservative preachers. I'm sure this will be a popular post
I also have enjoyed the majority of these men. Never heard Elders McClain nor Travis and only heard Elder Westburg once.
I would like to add:
Tim Copeland
Steve McMullen
Russell Frazier
James Groce
Dallas Mefford
Nathan Dudley
Mike Phillips
Keith Hood

Re: My favorite preachers

Ken Bow is a good preacher also like Bro. Phil White. I grew up listening to Sister Agnes Holmes preach. She is still awesome even in her twilight hours.

Re: My favorite preachers

I enjoy listening to J. Franklin. I wish there was a way for him to reach the masses outside of that circus that is TBN.

I know exactly what you are saying and we discussed it at length when he was first asked to go on TBN. I told him, I just hate for you to hitch your wagon to the TBN train because I see a train wreck coming down the tracks!
He is very well aware of the goings on and stays away from the mess as much as he can. He is the real deal and is a great, fasting and praying Pastor. He & I will dedicate my 3 year old Grandson (that I have custody of) tomorrow in the 11 AM Service and I am grateful to him for his friendship and for being such a great Pastor and example of Godly living.

Kingdom Connection has had the highest ratings of any program in its category since the first month it was on. It is the Number One program on TBN!
