Re: Burning the Koran
Read my lips:
If you want to confront islamic extremists man up, volunteer, pick up a weapon, travel to where they are, and confront them. It's cowardly to hide far away, instigate anger, and expect others to deal with the fallout.

Re: Burning the Koran
What is this, a flippin' threat?!!! Trying to make us cower in fear?
Bring it, buddy!
Good grief and people have confidence and believe this man is honest and sincere in what he is about? Give me a break!

Moving NY mosque could fuel violence: imam
He warned that Muslims worldwide could react more violently than the bloody riots that followed the publication of Danish cartoons of the Prophet Mohammed in 2005, strengthen extremists' ability to recruit followers and increase violence against Americans.

Re: Burning the Koran
Muslim extremists may react as bad as or worse than Christian extremists.

Oh please. Burning a book is not even on the same scale as a suicide bomber or a car bomb being set off. What is the ratio on that - Muslim:Christian?
And, BTW, I don't believe that any Christian group should present themselves in such a way as burning a book from any group they do not agree with. It won't make anyone stop believing what they already believe.

It's not a threat. It is a simple fact. Just as some Christians have reacted violently to the Muslim Cultural Center, so might some Muslims react violently if they are forced to move the location.
General Petraeus said that burning the Quran could "inflame public opinion and incite violence' against our soldiers and other Americans overseas".
Are you going to accuse him of threatening us now also?
lol, take a chill pill.

Re: Burning the Koran
The loudest of those who scream "bring it" are never the ones on the front lines. They never are the ones who have to face the danger. They are never the ones who have to pay the consequences. They are always the ones who generate the most noise and are always found far, far away from the consequence of their noise.
It's not YOU that the threat is to. It is we, Americans overseas, who work, build, send money back, and pay taxes that the threat is to. We, all of us, build bridges between what we are and stand for and what you cannot possibly understand.
You may not like me and that's OK but my neighbor is also American. He's from Louisiana. They have a 3 yr old and are expecting a baby next week. The guy across the street is American. He's from Alabama. He's married to a british lady. They have two small children. Our soldiers are on the streets across the world trying to stabilize messes that we created to begin with. They are Americans also. If actions back home inflame hatred of Americans somewhere else then the consequences of those actions must be faced by someone else somewhere else. The brunt of that hatred is taken by families who had nothing to do with the action.
You and yours and any of you who want to join the "war against terror" are also invited to volunteer, join the front lines, and scream "bring it" all you want to. Otherwise, if you inflame tensions and stir hatred and if you support stirring hatred then you are no better than they are.
The state department is issuing warnings and tightening security on overseas consulates and embassies as we speak. The cost of this single action comes out of all of our pockets. Were there justice this ignorant corn pone redneck would be given a weapen and dropped with a parachute on the Afghan/Pakastan border. He can run his mouth over there all he wants to and he can face the devil over there all he wants to. As can you or any of your brassy-mouth, brave fellows. Absent that your "bring it" is just foolish noise on the world stage to cover your fear and ignorance of things you know nothing about.

Blast it all! NO! I won't take the chill pill!!! LOL!
Petraeus didn't say it in the same way and he has nothing to do with trying to build a mosque at Ground Zero while trying to say that we are not adhering to religious tolerance - while - there are 100 mosques in NY showing that there is religious tolerance. Was that a run-on sentence? LOL!
Imam Rauf is doing this as a total provocation. He needs to back away and prove, for once if he can, that Islam is a religion of tolerance and peace.
I like what O'Reilly said, "It's long past time for the Muslim world to show a little respect and tolerance for America."

Re: Burning the Koran
I love that there are the O'Reillys in the world to form opinions for those who cannot educate and inform themselves. Then the uninformed can form and pass on the opinion without ever leaving the comfort of their home LOL

Re: Burning the Koran
Pressing-On,
I am on record in the mosque building thread on the issue of that ill-advised mosque. I still want to do some shopping this week with my wife and daughter without looking over my shoulder because some corn-pone went out of his way to deliberately offend people who otherwise would be peacefully going about their day. Do the necessary at home on the mosque. Burning Qurans offends ALL Muslims including the Muslims who had nothing, zilch to do with that NY mosque.
