why attend another denomination when you already walk in truth,

In some cases UPCI pastors have completely taken their entire churches in this direction. (I know of a UPCI church here in Missouri that made a 180 degree turn just with in this past year, and they are still listed on the United Pentecostal Church International "church locator").

I guess my question is, is why? I'm not being bitter or hateful. I'm just curious. What makes some "BOOM" make a complete change like that? Some say it's freedom....but I still don't get it.
Are you a male?

Have these churches said "good bye" to "standards" or certain doctrines?

It's not that the grass is greener on the other side of the fence... it is more that the pasture didn't exist in the first place.

sad that anyone would go to a church where there is no pasture or better yet no Saviour!

I just find it sad that people feel they have to live their life in a pasture rather than experiencing all that life has to offer. There is more to life than sitting on a pew, shaking out hairpins in the aisle, eating out, worrying whether someone else is watching television, and making peanut brittle.

Yes there is serving Christ, helping the less fortunate, and leading others to salvation.

These things you mentioned are marks of a church, but not marks of the mission that the church is supposed to be carrying out. Right now my wife is on bedrest and cannot take care of our 1 year old son. It kills me that I cannot devote more time to the things I mentioned above. After this trial, I will do my best to get back doing the first works.

If you sit on the pew and judge one another and every visitor that walks in the door, you will wilt and die.

Nothing in this world can compare to being in the church and experiencing ALL that its destined to experience and do ALL that its destined to do.

She tends to have a lot of them. Missionary work I think can keep someone humble. We in America find it a lot easier to quibble or doctrines when some of us aren't out in the fire like dear missionaries are! I feel the need that the church in America needs to return to servitude. Its so easy to get cozy in the pew and cozy in the AC.
