Re: Ice Cream Sundae Bar - Suggestions?
Cool idea to use the wine glasses to hold the condiments.
More ideas for cones.

Re: Ice Cream Sundae Bar - Suggestions?
Okay, finished getting this all ready and some items purchased.
Subby - I bought the thick chocolate fudge - just for you!
Portion sizes I learned about for this type of party:
Ice Cream portions per 1/2 gallon container:
16 servings @ 1/2 cup per person
8 servings @ 1 cup
5 servings @ 1 1/2 cups
Candy portions:
4 oz candy per person if you are serving cake and other food items.

Re: Ice Cream Sundae Bar - Suggestions?
I have a great recipe for homemade hot fudge. You start out with a can of plain old Hershey's chocolate. It's alot cheaper to make this stuff than it is to buy the jars of hot fudge ready made AND it's delicious! Let me know if you want it.
You could put the ice cream in little baby pools and fill them up with ice. We've done that for cans of pop at summertime parties before. It works really well

PO - I'm envious of your entertaining skills and ideas.
All kidding aside, you have a natural talent! Please share pictures of the finished product for your party.

Yes, of course, Margie! I was thinking the fudge would be used more than the other flavors. Don't you think?
I'll be out of pocket for a few days, but I will really need the recipe when I get back! Thanks!
I ran across this idea and thought it would be cool to use these containers for the toppings. They are using them on cupcakes, but not much different than topping off the ice cream.
We've decided to do cupcakes instead of the traditional sheetcake. I'd still like to do some brownies.

Re: Ice Cream Sundae Bar - Suggestions?
Thanks, Sweet Pea.
I'm just organizing it and getting most of the supplies purchased. It might turn out like my daughter's baby shower - too many chiefs and not enough Indians. I'll take pictures if it's put together like I have in mind. I'm a little more meticulous than the ladies want to be, so I normally just give them what they need and get out of the way. Works for me.
