Blessings to you! I look forward to getting to know you better and hope you enjoy your involvement on AFF.

That's super encouraging and helps ENORMOUSLY! Thank you so much, I feel at home already!

Re: Question about "speaking in tongues"
Nice. I'd like to highlight also, as Lafon has just had me in Isaiah, that God seems to acknowledge that we don't get "it" all at once; law on law, line on line, here a little, there a little, is how we come into an understanding of the Kingdom, and I think we should trust that God loves us in this process, and unclench a little about our surely unfounded worries, undoubtedly sinful worries, in this regard; private worries, of course, but even moreso our "public" ones, directed, with ostensibly "good intentions," at unfamiliar interpretations.

I understand that feeling, but I also have to say that I do not believe that it is accurate. I have heard of some that do exactly that. It is sad that it happens, but it does. However, most do not ever reach that point of hardness toward it, and many will still in moments of brutal honesty wish that they had never left the church. However, most are committed to maintaining the illusion that everything is fine.

Re: Question about "speaking in tongues"
Is he genuinely speaking in tongues?
How does one know he is not really speaking in tongues?
If that isn't tongues, then what is it, and how is the real tongues different?
And how do we know what he is doing is any different than what we so often hear like in the example I gave ?
Lotta nonsense in this video, and a lot of it in Pentecost as well, I think.

I hate to see a gift distorted, as surely tongues has been. I gotta believe a gift will be evident in its giftedness, and will edify virtually by its presence. I haven't watched this. Did it edify you? is going to be all that matters, or maybe, "Did it edify anyone."
