Start with Teddy Roosevelt, completely ruined his credibility, and elected his arch enemy to office. Then more recently we have Pat Buchanan and Ross Perot, and Ralph Nader, who all help elect leftist presidents, senators and Representatives, that have damaged the country. The ever heard of Howard Phillips??? Bright political up and comer, third party run destroyed his career.
Third party, seems like a good thing on principle, but in reality it has NEVER proved to accomplish the goals of those principles.
Much better to work in the grassroots leadership in primaries where is in not so difficult to get good desirable candidates, the Tea Party should not be weary in well doing and continue, it is a marathon, not a dash!!!!

That's because the facts are, it is very hard to work across grain with Washington. The Tea Party should keep sending newbies until they reach critical mass, in other words, keep throwing the bums out, until there is change. It is very hard work, and few have the strength to persevere.

Third parties have a proven record, they don't work. We need relief from the very current evils in the administration, give me the lesser of evils, if you will, so we can continue to try to change the culture. The financial pain coming to correct the incompetence of the past will change the culture to be willing to "throw em out"! Pray and believe that God will grant us wisdom and direction, to recover from our national sins, and again offer the world hope.

In Texas you don't officially register to a particular party. They just keep track that you don't vote twice - I am not bound to a party.

And I can tell you, even though many are glad that Romney is the nominee, I will never support what they did at Convention. When I replay, "The ayes have it", that's all she wrote for me. If they had followed the rules throughout the primaries and Convention, I wouldn't feel the way I do today. I didn't leave the Republican Party, they left me.

I will vote for any person who upholds our Constitution and no one else. I will vote for who aligns with my values and principles and not because everyone else tells me I need to vote for a particular candidate.

I still agree with a comment I heard, "The Republicans are so tired of this election they will take moderate Mitt."
