BTW...I noticed in the August edition of the Pentecostal Herald that there is a new writer for the "Prophetic Perspective" column. Anyone know if this guy is going to keep doing the column?

I was very serious and I asked some 75 people several questions.

I asked them the question:

Do you know what Pentecostal church's believe or follow?

Out of 75 only 1 knew anything about Pentecostals.

I aked him if he ever heard of the United Pentecostal Church or Oneness doctrine.

He told me he had never heard of it.

Wanted to know if it was a new revelation.

So the "Church" as some relate the UPC mean's the "Church".

Has not even reached 1 person in a 75 person office in Milwaukee.

Those I had talked to in my interactions about church, I did not ask them the question. They number about 10. As I had talked to them about church one-on-one.

I think we need a bigger audience.

Since most folks sitting in the pews in Pentecostal churches never bring anyone to their church during their religious career's.

In 2007 many UPC ministers are still believing God for 300 strong in attendance in their churchs.

If just 10% of the USA attended a UPC church today.

Population 301,139,947 (July 2007 est.) United States.

There would need to be 100,000 UPC Churches in the US with 300 members.

If you took that number to 3 million it would still mean 10,000 churches.

The message needs a bigger audience.

Today the UPC has about 500,000 members in the USA and some 3700 churches.

Average attendance then is 135 per church.

So you can see why the men in the organization have only the faith for 300 members.
The sobering fact is that you worked at a place that had at least 75 people, and you had not shined your light to them enough for them to know what Pentecost was.

That is your world - go win it!

What a sad thing to go to some apostolic's funeral - all his co-workers attend, and none have any clue as to what he experienced in God. No clue as to the very name of his assembly. They all ask: "He went to church???"

No television program is going to affect those 75 souls like you can.
Light your world and quit expecting the UPC to do it for you.

This seems the prevalent problem of pentecost today: "Somebody needs to win the world, but not me".

Well, I hadn't read this far, so I didn't know my response above had already been addressed

you know, I'm no bible scholar, but I understand the scripture to say that we as Christians have one purpose...to reach the lost.

How do we reach them? By teaching, by being an example...the whole SALT and LIGHT analogies.....These instructions were for individual Christians, not the commission of a few mega ministers.

and what or who is the whole world? Everyone we come in contact with. Our jobs, our schools, our FAMILIES..our friends....No one is going to reach them but US.

It's not about standards, it not about TV, it's not about denominations. HE said for us to just DO it..and if we make an attempt to DO it, He'll use a willing vessel and do the work for us...Like Noah complained that he was basically speech impaired, I think God got a little upset at him when he reminded him that HE would help him....All we have to do is be a light and the opportunity presents itself.

If the opportunity isnt presenting itself, then we might need to get our bulbs changed.

One person at a time. And they are MY responsibility. No ad on TV is going to get my boss in the altar....and I don't care if it's UPC or not, just get them saved where there is TRUTH

it's not Hazelwoods fault or responsibility to reach my co-workers...

You have to be a Prophet in order to be a false Prophet. I do not think IB claims Prophet status, does he?

I just went to his endtime website and it does not say he's a prophet. It does say "Revealing the future through Bible Prophesey"...so isn't it a prophet who is supposed to prophesey or reveal it?

look at the string of posts...

Someone said that evangelism will NOT be done through TV, I said "someone sees themself as a prophet", to which they replied that I should read my Bible...

so I asked where the Bible says that evangelism can't/won't be done through television....

anyway, I'm afraid that there is more confusion than just the TV.

By the way the scripture is in Hesitations 2:17-22.
nested quotes = good...

seriously... they're necessary...

go back through the links and read the ones they were responding to, it makes more sense...

I don't agree with anyone that I know of as having ALL the answers and understanding of prophecy.

I do agree with trying to wake people up to Jesus IS coming back and you must be ready. IF you listen to IB at all you will hear him say that over and over and over.

That is the point, but WE have to go and make issues out of everything that differs from our own cup of tea!

NONESENSE Christians, total nonesense!

I get so sick and tired of seeing the army of God fighting so much amongst ourselves, when we should be asking ourselves, what am I doing to education the world, those around me!

I'll hop off my soapbox for now.

Ester you may be correct. However this is a personal issue since those that work for Bro. Baxter are very close acquaintance's to me in fact I just talked to someone there today. I've seen first hand how some take his teachings as the gospel truth without regards to what others say or do.

As far as Bro. Baxter goes I don't agree with his teachings but he is a good man and brother in the Lord and he has a heart for people. I apologize if I offended in anyway.
