I DO Think that there are those going to TULSA wanting Leadership Positions, something they never had in the UPC....
but it will remain to be seen what happens... imo....
I think some will keep their license past the meeting just to see where they will stand in the "NEW" org...

Johnny Godair: Has been a DS, was for years. Later on, pulled his name from elections. Wanting power? Hardly. He had it.
Crawford Coon: Never has he been a political climber. Has stated publicly in my hearing that the "least fun" he ever had was as a presbyter in Indiana. Has shunned and avoided political office.
Floyd Odom: Another man who has never sought office.
Larry Booker: One of the least office minded men I know. I doubt if you could run fast enough to give him one.
N.J. Wilson: You might have about half a point here. He has had great power in the organization, and was Harvesttime Director years ago. However, he did apparently want to be DS of the Western District.
So your point, if indeed you have one, is miniscule and does not apply to most of the movers and shakers.
It seems to be very difficult for some folks to understand that there really are men who have strong convictions, and will live by them, regardless of the personal cost.
It makes some feel better to try and relegate everything to "politics."
I guess we all view things through our own personal lense.
