well good then, tell him to let you use that, i am teaching my wife to shoot, handgun and shotgun, she is a dangerous weapon, lol
I think every female should know how to shoot a gun. My dad taught me and my siblings how to shoot guns when we were young. I carry a S&W 38 S almost every where I go. I don't leave home without it. Yes, I trust God much more than a gun but God gave me common sense and I try to use it.
39 But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.
40 And if any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let him have thy cloke also.
41 And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain.
42 Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away.
43 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.
44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
46 For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?
KJV
None of those scriptures say stand there and do nothing while your family is being murdered, maimed, or raped.

It matters, but it won't stop you. Care to expound, a bit? Not that I don't understand what you just said. It just... gives one pause. That's all.
For him it matters. It's unfortunate for him that he considered his life so useless as to force me to choose between him and my family. One really should value their own life enough not to try and take someone else’s.
I have personally "turned the other cheek" and will do my best to continue to do so. I just think it's evil to allow unchecked harm to come to my family. I don't believe that force is the first and best option. I would always give a person a chance to go about his or her business someplace else. I will also pray for them, but it will not do them any good for me to allow them to commit some sin against my wife or daughter's. Are my possessions worth killing someone over? Not hardly. But I do believe I am given a responsibility to protect my family from harm, both physical and spiritual.
Thank you. That's all any of us have been saying. Apparently, that makes us faithless in the eyes of some people. If someone wants to come in here and take these computers, and whatever else they can carry, have at it. If you wanna put your hands on my wife or children get ready to have me come unglued on you.
