My mom didn't allow us to say 'turd, fart, cra* (that was a swear word!)' or anything of the sort. Imagine my shock when she recently referred to her brother as an anal orafice, but not in those words!! And she's UPC! LOL!

and I've heard preachers use at least one of those words.

it's just different for different folks what they prohibit and what they allow.

Back to the topic, I curse once in a while. Lately, it's been more often. But I don't curse to my kids nor in front of them. I also don't say the 'real' bad words either.

I am trying to get out of the habit also. I don't think cursing is a good thing.

A couple of weeks ago, my 15 year-old tried using "Icor2v4"... Oh I mean the proper name of his avatar....
He thought that because he put "Jack" in front of it that he could say that someome was being one. I quickly reminded him that if he said it again, he would be meeting mr. irish spring!

I don't think you actually need to use curse words.

When my husband is mad at me, I just look at him and say, "What Rhett said."
