I asked B_Kendrick a pretty straightforward question about the whole "surfing" thing.

I'm starting to think now that he's avoiding answering my question.

Perhaps he is too busy gathering information on the web or viewing something on his monitor.

You cannot expect that he would be sitting here watching the thread just because you are.

Re: Now, it's your turn!

I betcha Kendricks has watched TV and liked it but can't tell anybody for fear of being disfellowshipped.

TV fighters need to learn there are more restrictions available for TV's than computers. There are buttons to delete all bad words, porn, and eliminate commercials. What is TiVo for?!?!?

Sorry, didn't read the rest of the thread.
You go, Cindy!

I was glad that I read a few more pages this morning, before I pulled out the big guns and fired!

Enjoy your day, sister! I'm heading for the coffee maker to start some java and then contemplate if I want to cook some bacon and eggs for breakfast. I read on the smokers thread this morning (I believe the last page) that bacon was the worse processed food you could eat!

It sort of ruined my breakfast plans. I eat bacon everyday! What am I going to do now?

At first, I didn't get a good impression of your spirit while reading your many posts on this thread. Then I thought, the reason you came across with such brash arrogance was probably due to the fact that you were still young and had some growing up to do.

In any case, your motive for this thread was not any better than the threads started by the more liberal minded among us, which promoted TV.

They should not have used their liberties to offend the weaker saints by boasting of their TV watching and the weaker saints should have avoided taunting them by starting threads such as this one.

Now, I am off to drink my morning cup of coffee. Have a blessed day!

I'm not one of those "you guys" you are referring to, and, why you have no television is not my business. It is your convictiuon not to have a TV and/or to watch TV and I commend you for sticking to your conviction.

I have a TV. In fact I have two TVs. I also have two DVD/VCR players and satellite TV. I have them because it is legal to have them. But...heres the thing. The TVs and the players all have on/off buttons on them. The TVs have remote channel selectors. If something in on my TV that I don't like (Which is often the case), I do one of two things: I either turn it off or I change the channel. Its that simple.

I can't honestly say I have a biblical foundation for having a TV. But the same can be said my my van, my car, my truck, and my dog for that matter. I don't have a bibilcal foundation for having this computer I'm typrng on. In fact, if bilbical foundation was needed for everything I own, I may be lacking- as I don't find scriptural precedence for much of my "stuff".

But I don't think biblical foundation applies to possessions as much as it does in keeping myself in a right relationship with the Lord. And, old episodes of "The Andy Griffith Show" has little if any affect on my relationship with the Lord. So, though, admittedly, I have no biblical foundation for it, I must go now to climb aboard my 42' cut Craftsman riding lawn mower and finsih mowing my grass.

We meant surfing the web, not the AFF!

And I didn't say that surfing the internet was a sin, but I don't belive in it! It is very dangerous, which everybody would agree!

Call me a skeptic, but some things are pretty unbelievable.........
A friend actually referred me to AFF, who I'm sure got it from another friend! And I certainly wasn't trying to convince anybody! Just made my statement!

You know Prax, it seems odd to me that the only arguement you can come up with is comparing the internet to TV...
