Well, sir, I would respectfully request to substantiate your charges against me of "rebellion and treason against God" by bringing forth the evidence that I have "suggested that it's the church's job to take over governments and social institutions".
Secondly, how could I be committing "Treason and rebellion" if there is no law of God to be enforced at the present, at least until Jesus and Thomas Ice stand in the Knesset and promulgate such prohibitions?
Thirdly, Jesus commanded His disciples to "make disciples of all nations" and to "preach the gospel to every creature".
Does the President of the United States qualify as being one of "every creature"? Does the Supreme Court?
Does America qualify as one of "all nations"?
Does
Psalm 2 even exist in your Bible, Chan? What do you make of it?
How do RULERS "embrace the Son" while at the same time committing crimes against God?
Sir, I really think you do not understand the issues here. I really think you have a bogey-man idea of what "theonomy" and "Christian Reconstruction" are all about.
But, just to humour you...
What exactly do you object to? Specifics, please.
As in, "if chapter x verse y of the Bible were to become operative law in America, it would be horribly ungodly and unchristian."
Please provide the chapter and verse you are so opposed to.
Also, as I stated in my previous post, I do not think most folks here on this forum have given enough serious thought to the Biblical distinctions between ecclesial government and civil government to be able to engage this topic rationally and Biblically. Thus, we have people claiming essentially that "in a Christian America people will go to jail for wearing short sleeves..."
