If you are a former UPCI member, I guess you can answer based on the teaching and preaching of you last church.
My pastor has taught before that we shouldn't watch anything we would be embarrassed for our children to see. That's a pretty good rule of thumb. He doesn't preach against watching movies or television.

He also teaches that computers (with internet access) should be in a major room of the house, facing outward so they can be easily seen by anyone passing through.

Personally, I think the dangers of the internet are FAR greater than the dangers of television.

And of course, ANY computer with internet access is a "tv-ready device."

AM recently preached, watch it with this rule in mind (internet, tv, dvd, whatever...): that you can invite Jesus to pull up a seat next to you and if you are comfortable with him watching it with you, then watch it.
