You are still not answering the question. Where did you get dancing must not be choreographed or learned? You're just making it up, El Predic.
Your dismissal of Jewish history by referring to their acceptable animal sacrifice is disingenuous at best. Throw out your OT.

Is there scriptural precedent?
I suppose it's possible to do anything inspired and lost in the presence of God. I've done it. I've also worked myself up before, when it would have been healthier to just learn to enjoy dancing as it is -- a pure celebration.

Sam, dancing with timbrel & dance means we can practice our timbrel-playing but not the dancing. That must only be eyes shut, red-faced, spit-flying hokey-pokey action.

Speaking of the hokey-pokey,.......
did you hear that the guy who invented that dance died,
and about the problems they had at the funeral?

It is not even dancing, it is just being out of control.
Went to my wife's Christmas party last night, those folks were dancing. I was watching, being raised in the UPC I never learned how to dance.

I'm not sure about scriptural precedent. All I know is what I have experienced for myself. It makes perfect sense to me that one would dance before the Lord whether in spirit or not.
