It's a common belief that if there is sin in your life, you won't get the Holy Ghost. Or may not. God gives it to some people on credit, having faith in them that they'll straighten up if he goes ahead and gives it to them.

This is how I was taught. I especially appreciate your comment about "God gives it to some people on credit." That one still blows me away - I'm amazed at some of the ridiculous, unscriptural things I've believed.

so I guess to you we are of the camp we sin all the time and cannot help keep from sinning. So basically Jesus died so we don't have such a strict policy of judgment counted to us because "we can't stop sinning". Sin is so minute breathing the wrong way is a sin. right? So... in the end we always sin and while in always sinning he doesn't account it because we are always lacking in faith somewhere. Yet we are justified BY faith we only have part of the time in some areas.

no but the end result that type of question is always the same. I am just getting to the point before you do.

I did. You simply don't see it.

a) Temptation is not sin
b) we have power over the flesh
c) no temptation can overcome us

so that means we can walk in faith in harmony with Spirit and not sin. Thus we are considered "faithful" and "friends".

Now answer mine.
