OK, aside from the supposable 100 receiving the Holy Ghost, the 10.00 ticket issue is in fact, an issue.
Today's modern Church is infected by the huge cash flow of America's abundance, and many have grown weary of auction type begging for an offering, ("Who will give me 10.00?? Do I hear 20.00? OK, we've got 20.00, folks, who will give me 30.00?"), fear tactics regarding the Tithe, and Fund Raisers that rob people of precious time in our busy World.
From radio to TV, the punch line for more money is all over Religion. In fact, it's dripping from the Faith's that we adore.
I have been a pastor for the last 15 years, and I will be gut honest here, about the ONLY time my phone rings from others in my District is when they need, you guessed it, MONEY! CFC, Mothers Memorial, SFC, SOC, these Fund Raisers have turned into a circus of hassling people for more money. All of our Rally’s are connected to these monetary needs, and it’s embarrassing to even invite visitors.
Then, to top it off, we print the names of Churches and Pastors who give the most money!!!!! We give them plaques, trophies, and shout their names from the rooftops, while those with little are left to the dogs of false judgment.
Again it was NOT a regular service. It was a special service with a special guest. They have to pay for her appearance and her accomodations plus the buildig seats only 500 and tickets is a good way to have crowd control instead of having 3000 angry people show up

I can understand the crowd control, give the tickets to those who want to come. But the bolded part I guess I do have a problem with. Let her get the offering. It will most likely be more than the ticket proceeds anyway.
She is not there to give anything she earned, created, or worked for, her gifts and messege are given to her by God. It's not hers to sell. Nor anybody else for that matter.

Oh my gosh...I repeat It was NOT a regular church service. Wow. It was a special event like a LOT of churches have where they HIRE a special speaker and charge an entrance fee. It's NOT just about how many people might have attended ....this is crazy Ive had to say that a dozen times now
