Force means that I can place consequences on that person.... once again you sparinlgy and wrecklessly use your words. I don't have the ability to FORCE anything on anyone by merely stating my opinions in this forum. Scotty McCreery's life is not affected one iota by my standard of belief on this issue, neither is yours... or anyone else who is reading my opinion. Therefore, to use the word FORCE is no appropriate, and is actually an accusation that is false. You are bearing false witness against me by your slack use of wording.

By simply stating my opinions, that does not have the authority nor the ability to FORCE anything on anyone.

I think the above statement shines some light on why you are often not well recieved... There is noting simple in how you state your opinions but rather you are very condeming at times with all that talk about people in hell, etc.

Also dude you can sometimes beat something to death... I know you are young and it can take a while to figure things out but... sometimes people just need to know what time it is... not how to build a clock, KWIM?

How about this one:

Sometimes you just need to show someone how to shoot. Not assemble their own 1911!

Re: That Old King James

Bro. Robbins,

You are completely entitled to your own beliefs, and thought processes concerning your personal life, and separation unto God. In your other posts, I know that you truly love the Lord, and are trying to please him.

The thing is though, if anyone on here has a slightly different outlook than you, you "come across" in your posts as being judgmental, and just a little bit "holier than thou." Maybe that's not your intention.... but...

I know that you truly want to worship the Lord with all your heart, and give Him all due reverance in every way you can. The problem is that not everyone agrees with you, because.... well.... on this forum you are lucky to anyone agreeing on anything!

So why not just state your opinion on the matter, which is perfectly fine, and leave it at that? If we disagree... is that too hard for you to accept?

Personally, I probably agree more with you than most here. I prefer to sing music unto the Lord with words that truly worship Him, and not some of the "mish mash" that comes from contemporary circles (although there are very good songs too), or some country gospel music which really has no basis in the Scripture.

And yes, I realize in the writings of the NT, we are commanded to judge one another, by their fruits. If indeed you see fruit, as you have claimed about these various music artists, then by all means abstain from listening to them, if you are doing it as unto the Lord.

But on the other hand... you may end up with little or no music to listen to except your own, if you deem the fruits not being up to your standards.... But if that is what you desire to do, and you feel you are doing it unto the Lord, then by all means do it unto the Lord....

As one poster said the Pharisee and the sinner were side by side, and the Pharisee was condemned by Jesus because he was beating his chest thinking he was better than everyone else.

I am not saying you are that Pharisee, because I don't know your heart, only the Lord does.... but when you speak of having this higher standard in your life, that Pharasical spirit can be the road your flesh will take.... just sayin.....

I know this is a trying time for you as in your other post concerning your health, and I will spend time today lifting you up in prayer. God Bless Bro.

Re: That Old King James

Going back to one of my earlier posts. This is the song we used during our wedding when the bridesmaids and bride came down the isle. Not quite "The Old Rugged Cross", but for a young couple in love getting married, far FAR more appropriate.
