South east is supposed to get 6-12 more inches tonight. Will you be okay then?

Think so. I'm north of Pasadena off of E Sam Houston Pkwy N, north of the area designated as Cloverleaf.

Oh, okay. My daughter is in an area that might go to mandatory evacuation shortly. They have the SUV full and ready. It's higher off the ground than her Mercedes. Material things don't matter if you think about drowning.

Yeah. I think next time I'm going to leave before the storm makes landfall. I am antsy, not being able to leave the house.

My uncle is upset because one of his houses has flooded. Ahh... insurance claims, file them before Sept 1st!

I left before the rain hit. I wasn't going without electricity again. After driving 3 hours away, the Hurricane still reaches me with rain and high wind. After a few days, I thought that if I had electricity at home and it was raining in both places, I might as well go home.

On the way home I was looking on both sides of the road, at the rising water, and kept saying, Oh, my God, Oh my God.

Continuing in prayer for you PO and Houston and all other affected!
Today is the 12th anniversary of Katrina and I well remember how
devastating that was for Mississippi and Louisiana. We were without
electricity for about a week. People from all over the place were so good
to come and help in all the affected areas. Their generosity will never
be forgotten.
