I keep thinking "they are seeing right through this!" but if done with confidence, the people see exactly what you want them to see! Such is the power of Psychology. People start to interpret versus and the bible as a whole the way they have always been taught to, NEVER seeing that it often clearly says. Part of this is also reinforced by the doctrine that questioning itself is a trick of the devil, making people afraid to.
RW,

I will never forget the time I almost put my mom in cardiac arrest. I told her to back away from her faith for a few minutes, just read the Bible as literature and then see how much its story structure resembled Greek or Roman mythology. It took a lot of repenting to get back in her good graces! She thought for sure I was reprobate!

I don't question the apostolic doctrine.I embrace biblical truth. Most of the apostolic doctrine was already what Jesus had been speaking to my heart
about when I began to search Him out.I did not grow up knowing how to be saved.I grew up in false doctrine.Sorry but from being a sinner first and knowing other pentecostals really the truth is that not alot is said or thought
about pentecostals.Sorry if this bursts your bubble that the whole world has
its eyes on you but its a false idea.Even in charismatic and denominal churches I never heard them much discuss the pentecostals. The only other group I ever hear refer to the UPCers are those who attend AOG churches.I
am sure it is because of the old rift back when people wanted to baptise in Jesus Name. Its funny how things can get turned around in discussions.
Many charismatics and full gospel church pastors see Jesus Name baptism.
Truthfully many don't embrace AOG teachings.
