I read the Bible to him and his precious wife when I hardly knew how to read portugues...she has gone on to glory...so glad I came as a young single missionary.

It is hard when a dear brother or sister that you knew for so long, and meant so much to you passes away. Been there .

yes his wife passed...but at close to 85 he is still pushing on toward the mark.His son Joao is the pastor now. I carried John in my arms and now he has grandchildren! lol...I am getting old!
