Conservative, Liberal, Moderate, etc.

Where would you place yourself on the Apostolic spectrum?

What are defining qualifications to being labeled as something like conservative, liberal, or moderate?

Re: Conservative, Liberal, Moderate, etc.

Let me clarify those terms first:
conservative
adj. Favoring traditional views and values; tending to oppose change.
adj. Traditional or restrained in style.
adj. Moderate; cautious.

liberal
adj. Favoring reform, open to new ideas, and tolerant of the ideas and behavior of others; not bound by traditional thinking; broad-minded. synonym: broad-minded.
adj. Of, relating to, or characteristic of liberalism.

moderate
adj. Being within reasonable limits; not excessive or extreme.
adj. Not violent or subject to extremes; mild or calm; temperate.

Well, it all depends on the topic: doctrine? morals? standards? politics?

I am:

* Independent in politics: usually agreeing with republicans, though.
* Biblical in morals, standards and doctrine: which means, as long as it conforms to the bible, I'm OK with trying new ideas, methods, make changes, etc... I examine everything and retain what's good. I like to use my brain .
* At work, I tend to be moderate-liberal regarding ideas, research, methods, etc... If I don't do that, I will never find better opportunities to improve quality and productivity.

I am a Conservative Christian. Contend for the faith ONCE DELIVERED to the saints. Our doctrine was set by Jesus and cannot be changed.

Good question.

Not quite. There are many doctrines created by men within the past century. Most are related to dress codes.

You may need to define "doctrine". When I say "doctrine" Im referring to the teachings of the bible. So when I say Jesus gave us all of it thats what Im referring to.

You know there are no man made doctrines in Pentecost.

Re: Conservative, Liberal, Moderate, etc.

Prior to some of the exchanges I have had on this forum, I would have considered myself fairly conservative. After those exchanges, I suppose I'll label myself a moderate. However, as it pertains to others, I am quite admittedly very liberal/pragmatic in my application of those beliefs. "Preach it harder, and they'll listen," will not be my mantra any time soon. Ha!
