I remember hearing he was a tongue talking one God charismatic. Don’t know how true it is.

Sure, he would go "waliduea, waliduea, waliduea, waliduea, waliduea, wali duea, waliduea, waliduea, waliduea, waliduea, waliduea, waliduea, waliduea, waliduea, waliduea," all the way home.

Yeah, yeah. Everyone from Marylin Monroe to Attorney General John Ashcroft were supposedly the same.
No idea about Marylin Monroe, but John Ashcroft was Assembly of Gods.

Re: Who was Harry Morse ?
About forty years ago at the world wide camp meeting in Los Angeles, a group headed by a brother by the name of Studd, along with several women, including his wife, claimed to have received a revelation that God was about to do a new thing. They had one verse of Scripture only. It is found in Isaiah 43:19. This special verse refers to Israel as clearly stated in the context. They wrested it from its context and pressed it to the point of an issue. There were hundreds of people there desirous of finding God, but the camp was spoiled and the work of God hindered by this issue. Until the present, no one has ever defined just what the "New Thing" was.

That no power on earth, but that only the intervention of the Almighty himself can bring relief to the terrible suffering that is to be wrought from the war being waged in Europe.

Re: Who was Harry Morse ?
9/15/1939
The Pentecostal Assemblies of Jesus Christ, which hitherto has been strictly pacifist, announced a fundamental change in this policy at the eighth annual convention at the Minnesota State fairgrounds. Members hereafter will be allowed to go into any military service which does not obligate them to kill. The Rev. S. G. Norris, pastor of the Midway Tabernacle, in explaining the change, said members could engage in any war activities which do not involve combat.
