Christians and Politics
I am sure that this thread has been posted before, but I am starting a new class and I had to write a short essay on:
"Christians and Public Policy" What is the place of policy and politics in the Life of a Christian?
I wrote my answer and I hope to get a good grade... but I wanted some AFFer input on this. Before I met my husband I had NO interest in politics, actually upon first meeting I asked the question, "are you a democrat or a republican", because of something in his car... I had no idea what either one was.
(Of course I figured it out very quickly when he would skip chapel to go listen to Rush in his car at the donut shop!)
My point is, it was NEVER discussed in the church that I came from, or even either of my foster families (all of which were apostolic), do Apostolics tend to shy away from politics in general? What is your view on Christians in politics?
