Foreclosed homes

How do you find foreclosed homes in your area? The only listings I can find require a membership to the site… which I don’t want to do.
Not sure if they are scam websites.

There are different types. FHA and VA homes will be managed by several real estate brokers. Find them and you find the homes.

Non FHA or VA foreclosures are a bit harder, but some real estate agents specialize in that stuff. Also, you can call local banks and ask them who manages their REOs (their foreclosures). Also, go to county courthouse and talk to the Clerk, foreclosures get processed at the Court and require public notice.

I would not dream of buying a home right now. We are selling our current domicile. Then I am going to rent until bubble bursts. Cheap homes are right around the corner. We are also considering living in Mexico part of the year. That has its risks, but there are also many benefits.

The thing is interest rates are ridiculously low. When the bubble pops I suspect those rates are going to go up quite a bit. Cash is king in a correction, whereas debt leverage is king in the lead up to the pop.

When I am scanning Realtor. com they automatically show up UNLESS I filter them out.
