Your "interpreting" scripture to fit the life YOU want to live.

Therefore you are preaching and living in ignorance.

That's why I don't get in these conversations, they are an endless circle.

Re: Hair

So let the new convert get sucked into a mess. Great advice. Maybe this forum will still be around in a few years for damage control.

BUT, when you bolded a portion of the quote it messed up the bracket.

When I was admin, I used to fix them for people all the time because they drove me nuts!!!

yeah, when you bold something next to the [ it always highlights the [ too.

Ya gotta put your cursor between the last letter in the sentence your bolding and the [ then bold it.

You are correct and you've had lots of practice!

Ron's big feet are getting in the way of him thinking clearly.

It isn't about that, houston. First of all, you have no way of knowing whether or not her new church is any sort of "mess." Disagreeing with a church's doctrine doesn't make them a mess. I mean, in your view, MY church is probably a "mess", too, but I would beg to differ. After all, my pastor preaches against all sorts of things, and he doesn't believe that one can live a sinful life and still go to heaven. I love my church, my pastor and the people I go to church with.

Secondly, when a person first converts, it's really important that they form good relationships with people who can lead them into a stronger walk with God. IMO, we are not in the position to truly know whether some random stranger online is where they need to be or not. How do you know that God didn't lead ApostolicBelle to her new church? Maybe He has an end goal in mind and this is one of the stepping stones or MAYBE He wants her to settle down there and be a witness to the people in that community. And if He did, why would you want to be in the position of getting in the way of that?

Don't presume to know what is right for other people and their walk with God.

You didn't read Renda's post very well. When you BOLDED part of the quote, you messed up the existing quote brackets. I've been following you around on the last page trying to clean up the ensuing damage. Houston had nothing to do with it.

You have to make sure that there is a [ quote] AND and [ /quote] (without the spaces) before and after a quote. If you mess with the quote at all (underline, bold, color, size, etc.), you need to double check it when you're through and make sure the quote codes are still intact. If you accidentally separate a bracket so that it looks like this:

[quote] instead of
Then it will be messed up.

Think of anything in brackets as a start command:
= start quote
[B ] = start bold
[I ] = start italics

And anything with a slash before the same word as the end command:
= end quote
[/B ] = end bold
[I ] = end bold

etc.
