GOP National Convention
This is the thread where the GOP National Convention is updated, discussed, debated, and analyzed.
Hillary will get eviscerated for her lies to the American public throughout her lifetime, but most specifically in relationship to Benghazi & her emails.
Hillary will be presented as a pathologically corrupt individual selling her influence as SOS for large donations to the Clinton Foundation.
Hillary will be tied to the failed foreign policy of President Obama whose weak approach to the War on Terror and philosophy of "leading from behind" and dismissing ISIS as the "jayvee team" have created the perception that America does not gave the will to stand up and fight. Our enemies are emboldened and continue to fearlessly attack us and our allies. Hillary will continue this feckless approach.
Hillary will be defined as a lawless candidate who is given a pass time and again for crimes while ordinary citizens are prosecuted. In addition the Democrat Party and liberalism will be tied to the lawlessness espoused by BLM and other fringe groups.
Hillary will be tied to liberal economic policy which has overseen the worst economic recovery in modern history. 90+ million out of the work force, record numbers of people on food stamps, the national debt beyond belief.
Trump will be presented as the law and order candidate, tough on terrorism and crime, a pro growth economic leader, someone who knows how to create jobs, a man who will finally secure the borders, put America first, and one who will roll back failed Obama policies. It will be the beginning of an onslaught on Hillary that will see her poll numbers tank.

Trump has no record of consistency with which to show he'll do or be any of the above.
I'll go on record stating he'll be a disaster for conservatives, the GOP and the country. He won't build the wall or be tough on immigration. He will continue taking away civil liberties in the name of terrorism, disregarding the first, second, fourth, fifth and sixth amendments.

Re: GOP National Convention
What an idiot.
"""CLEVELAND — Donald J. Trump was told, no, it was not sensible to have Don King, the flamboyant boxing promoter, address the Republican convention. But Mr. Trump, who has repeatedly boasted of having Mr. King’s support, kept pressing the matter.
Finally, officials including Reince Priebus, the Republican national chairman, firmly explained to Mr. Trump why Mr. King should not be invited: He once stomped a man to death and was convicted of manslaughter. The party could not associate itself with someone convicted of a felony.
Mr. Trump eventually relented. Mr. King, a Cleveland native, will not take the stage."""

Re: GOP National Convention
What a dumpster fire!
The chair has abandoned the podium. I remember the issue 4 years ago at the DNC, when the nay's were louder than the yay's, but the chair claimed the yay's won. Not being there, simply listening to the live audio it sounded like the nay's won, but the chair called it for the yay's, implementing the rules.
After this, they ran off the stage when many in the audience have erupted in anger, demanding a roll call vote.
This isn't a special request. This is something written in the rules of the RNC. There may be a roll call requested.
The GOPe is denying something which is in the rules!
This is ridiculous.
You Trumpster's who were upset over the railroading of Paul ... this is the same thing all over again.
Now the chair just claimed three states have dropped out and now the threshold of 7 states hasn't been met.
The floor is incensed!
I'm done with the GOP. What a bunch of liars and crooks.

Re: GOP National Convention
No word on which three states dropped support for the roll call. I would bet money on none did. There were 9 and none dropped out, but the GOP wanted an excuse to avoid the roll call vote.

Re: GOP National Convention
What's stupid is Trump would have won the roll call, but Trump and the GOPe don't want any voice of dissention. They want the appearance of party unity, and did what they needed to do to make sure the appearance remained.
My question is how many more times will delegates sit back and let the RNC roll over them?
I'm not voting for Trump in November, that much is obvious. I'm also seriously considering not voting for any Republican after this. May just vote on the local judges, school board officials and Sheriff.
Trump's right, his system is rigged.

Re: GOP National Convention
"You don't do this in America" donor Gary Emineth says of rules committee refusal to allow roll. He resigned position on Trump Victory in protest.
Ken Cuccinelli explains what happened:
