I picked up Alanna frpm School today and while waiting for her and Kristin to come out I saw another father of one of Alannas classmates come up to me.
He has been in Canada for a couple of years and was a successfull businessmen in China before coming to Canada.
He said the corruption, taxes, bribes, and red tape were taking a toll on him.
His daughters name is Lodani and she is a close friend of Alannas.
Every year he goes back to China for a holiday.
he comes to me and says that he and his family will be going to China for a month from mid April-mid May.
He then says, "Can Alanna come along?"
Me--
I know his intentions aren't nefarious, and that he has the money to spring for the trip no problem.
I said that she is too young, and that she isn't going to be away from school that long.
I was just floored by that offer.
He is a nice guy, and we are witnessing to them.
His name is Richard.
