We used to have a pastor who believed that any time a partner in a marriage put anything or anyone except God above their spouse, then they were committing adultery in their hearts with that person or thing.

I'm not sure how to word this but I would think that anything that doesn't include a spouse would be considered adultery to the spouse that wasn't included. Hopefully, that makes sense.

Adultery is martial unfaithfulness in short cheating whereas fornication is all unclean sexual practices.
Viewing online porn to me wouldn't be physical adultery.

I don't quite know how to word this, but what if the spouse can't and you have to for yourself? Is it still adultery then?
