From a business stand point does it make any sense that the Rag would print a story that is going to cost them millions to defend and if the story is proven false millions in judgements?
They do it ALL the time and you know it.

Very true.
The National Enquirer prints lies about celebrities all the time, knowing full well that most celebrities cant be bothered to sue them.

PUH-LEAZE find one, single post where I posted ANYthing critical about John Edwards. Thanks for playing.
If this were from a reputable news source, I would give it some credence. It's not, so I'm not giving it anymore credence than the stupid things printed about Obama and his wife.
Give us a little credit here. We're not as "partisan" as you think we are.
PUH-LEAZE There have been so many lies repeated about Obama on this board that it's pathetic. A sister that I love in the Lord on this board continually repeats one of the lies yet I haven't called her name out on it. I haven't called you by name yet you are upset. If the shoe doesn't fit then why respond asking me to find something that does not exists?
I never said the RAG was reputable. All I was trying to say was wait and see if it's true before one believes it or not. Republican and Democrats are so quick (me included) to defend the party that we often don't care if the matter is true or not.
If she did, does this make her a bad person? If true, it only makes her human and humans make mistakes.
Remember as humans we choose whom we want to forgive.

What is the lie?

The information you posted, rather gave a link too- has nothing to do with her being human.
It's suppose to cast a shadow on her reputation as Christian.
Especially knowing that many of her supporters are Christian/Charismatic, the paper is trying to sway our view and perhaps change the way we see her.
Just to clear up the Edwards mess the National Enquirer reported that story for close to a year before any of the mainstream media outlets, outside of Fox News who jumped at the chance, actually reported the Enquirer's findings. The Enquirer finally caught him in a hotel in California with the suspected woman and Edwards had no choice, but to admit his wrong doings. Those are the facts of the Edwards matter.
The National Enquirer is what it is. It's a ridiculous magazine that makes it's living off of error and unfounded rumors. It's not to be trusted given it's track record.
That said, that doesn't mean that every story(like the Edwards story) is completely false or doesn't bear watching. Given the polygraph and sworn affadavit, I'd say the story bears watching. I'd lean towards totally dismissing anything in the National Enquirer's pages, but that doesn't mean there's not something to the Palin story either.
Time will tell just as it did in the Edwards story.
I'll also say that I have NO sympathy for Republicans who don't think it's right for people's personal lives to be dug through given the Zippergate happenings of the late 90's with Bill Clinton. $60 million dollars of tax payers money wasted just so we could all know without a doubt that Bill Clinton had committed adultery like 90% of other Presidents through history. No sympathy here. What's good for the goose is always good for the gander, IMO.

2 points. Frist, I would like to see one of the Lies.
There are only 2 that I can think of.
1. there is a Clinton supporter bringing a lawsuite that Obama was born in Kenya and not a US citizen
2. That Obama is a muslim.
Some here have said they belive this. I have said I dont beleive either. Nothing has been said here about Barak Obamas family except that his wife is mean and she showed her bra strap at the DNC. (these are not exactly mean and vicious lies)
Sarah Palin's family have sufferd the following
1. Her son is really her daughters son
2. Her oldest son was a coke snorting drug fiend who joined the army to get out of jail.
3. Her husband has had sex with all his daughers
4. Palin is abusing her baby by trying to be Vice President and not staying home and taking care of him
5. She had an affair 10 years ago.
There are more. We are touchy based on the history. Light, with all due respect, I dont accept your premis here.
Beyond that, Democrats arent exactly in a position to hold sexual indiscression against a candiate now are they?

Mike I have been a long time Foxnews watcher. Fox didnt pick up that story about Edwards until the Californial Hotel incident. They didnt touch it before that.
I watched an episode of Foxnews with Brit Hume where his panel (of libs mods and cons) discussed the fact that Fox and other reputable outlets knew this was out there but didnt do any of their own looking into it because the Enquirer is so bad. They discussed if they took the right tact in holding off.
So, no. Fox News didnt "jump" on that story.

That's just the point. It wasn't the Democrats who supported spending $60 million dollars so Ken Starr could make a laundry list of Bill Clinton's sexual escapades. It wasn't the Democrats who viewed perjury over an affair(something that happens in divorce court every day) as an impeachable offense.
It was the morally superior Republican party. Obviously voters would expect no less from Republican candidates given their positions.

Really? 90%?
