I’m good with wemmen and minorities voting. but yea.... owning 10 acres and a house would be a good prerequisite!

As a kind of an aside, go around your work place and ask the following questions:
Who is the vice president of the USA.
Who is the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court
What is the President Pro Tempore of the Senate
How many branches of government are there.

You will be lucky to find anyone who can answer all four questions and less than 50% will get any right.

Re: Texas House OKs Voter ID Bill

I am glad that this legislation passed.

Now if we can just re-institute the Poll Tax then we will go even further in suppressing the voice of the underprivileged, ignorant and otherwise undesirables.

WHile we're at it, literacy tests are not that bad of an idea-- I mean, it's a new day now! Surely if we revert back to doing things the way our racist ancestors did things, surely it does not mean that we're like them or that we will make the same mistakes that they did.

Besides, more and more people are beginning to realize that some of our "mistakes" from the past were simply misrepresented or misunderstood by the educated elites of our country.

Why before you know it, the South will rise again and the old will be made new.

Gotta go-- going to the DMV to get my new Nathan Bedford Forrest license plates!

Re: Texas House OKs Voter ID Bill

This is JD.

Why is it an issue now-- was it not an issue before?

How did we verify voter identity before requiring an ID?

Maybe there are lists or rolls where people who are pre-registered to vote are detailed.

Let voter registration be done by the dmv and issue an ID if needed at the time a voter registers at the dmv. That would appease me.

Though there is still a problem in not allowing someone to vote if their ID was stolen the day of the election.

You miss ACORN and their voter fraud antics. If we had not had so much voter fraud by the ACORN and other junk leftist movements, this may be less of an issue.
ACORN said vote early and vote often.
jfrog, vote with an ID early and lose the ID the day before votinging and vote again. Is that what the libs want?

Here is a complete guide to voter fraud.
http://pajamasmedia.com/blog/the-com...n-voter-fraud/

Voter fraud advocates are the ones that battle against ID's.

Whoops - sorry JD!
I think the growing issue is the amount of illegal immigrants voting.
Also, the advent of groups like ACORN have made those who sign people up for voting, suspect of being complicit in voter fraud.
I saw a news blurb last week that stated that in the last election in Colorado over 5000 voters were illegal.

Thoughts, likes, dislikes?

Since I don't carry my voter reg card with me everywhere like I do my DL, I've always showed my DL when voting and don't mind doing so...
This was all in 2011.

So, why in 2021 did Texas Democrats go on vacation?
