Do you think that by keeping the rep range low and weight moderate it will probably just get better? I know you aren’t a doctor or anything just wondering your opinion. Maybe some mobility stretching?

I'm not a sports therapist or doctor or anything. My personal approach to things is "if I don't feel pain I continue, but if pain starts I back off".

Some people say don't worry about sounds if there is no pain or shortening of movement. Others say it's a sign you're about to rip your arm out of socket.
Again, personally, if my joints are creaking, I make sure I do proper warmups, take my time, use good correct form, and go easy, paying attention to what's happening. if I feel pain I will back off immediately. I've seen too many people tear stuff up because they ignored actual pain. Soreness and fatigue are one thing, but pain is your body telling you "hey, something's wrong here".
