Just a little thought

Last night I was so blessed with Brother Alvear to be in a church we help start long ago...the orginal pastor is up in years and now his son and law and daugter are the pastors. I watched as their grown son (the orginal pastor´s grandson) and his wife sang and played music helping their mom and dad...Oh, what a joy to see the continuation of the gospel here in Brazil.

As we all go forward into a new year make your plans to make the difference in someone´s life...and that difference many times makes the difference in coming generations...

After church we went to the original pastor´s home for snacks with a lot of his family and did not leave until close to 1 pm...they would have talked more but it is not real safe and we were in a borrowed car...

We have several churches like that ... all I can say it is wonderful to see fruits of years of work that will carry on long after we are gone...sometimes people say to me, Sister Alvear you have missed so much by not being in the USA...in reality whatever I may have missed has been greatly rewarded by seeing thousands of people come to know our lovely Lord.

Tonight we will travel back to our home in the north (we have been here in the south for a convention and a few special services) however we have many services planned and many outreaches...

As you listen to the songs such as, Hark the angels sing....never forget there are millions that do not know of His first coming..

We are blessed above measure....

Re: Just a little thought

The ulitmate measure of one's success is to find God's will for you life, and then to do that. It would seem that you are very successful indeed!

It starts with a complete surrender to Him, His ways, His will.
Sis. Alvear and her husband are totally surrended, He leads then equips.

Re: Just a little thought

I'm Brian. And yes Houston has a point. It isn't easy to find God's will. It must be sought through His Word, His Spirit, and the circumstances that surround you. And Sandie is correct when she says that the reason the Alvear's are blessed is they have surrendered to God's will and followed it. Ecclesiates 12:13 "Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man."
