Would You Attend a Church Whose Pastor Did Not Pay Tithes?

Would you attend a church whose pastor did not pay tithes? The church believes in tithing and requires it from members in any type of ministry. The pastor teaches tithing but gets busted for not paying his tithes to the ministry to which they belong. He does not get removed from the pastoral position of said church. Would you attend there? Would you pay your tithes if he didn't?

I thought I would give Coop a break for a minute......

I don't belong to an organization, so my tithe, from all vocations, goes into the local storehouse.

What if he didn't tithe at all? Would you sit under that man of God as your spiritual authority?

No, especially given the hypocritical stance you outlined.

On another note, I do know of one pastor that will ask to look at pay stubs.....

That's pushing the envelope a little, isn't it?

I would not attend such a church.

I prefer blessings upon the man rather than a curse upon him. He cannot bless the church as he should when there is curse upon him.

To properly pay tithes, it should not go to an organization. Tithing is strictly for the priesthood (the ministry) ONLY and not for an organization, regardless how religious it may be. To fund salaries of an office holder other than the five fold ministry is unbiblical. When a minister adulterates his office with a non-scriptural religious office, he is disqualified from the tithe.

And that is how it is supposed to be. All tithes are to go into the storehouse, not the preachers back pocket to finance golfing and fishing trips and conferences every every month (for which we usually take up an additional offering), 50 and 60 thousand dollar vehicles, motorhomes, fishing camps, deer hunting land leases, and lavish homes.

All tithes are to go into the storehouse and all the people are to benefit from the gifts we give to God. He blesses us with what we give Him. And IF what we give to God is managed correctly, those gifts WILL bless the whole, NOT just a particular pastor and his family. This in itself is revalation. You want

I am not bashing, I love the man of God and see him as a VERY important part of my salvation. I merely speak from conviction.
