Put it to you this way. In the past 5 years the number of CEO, COO, CIO that I deal with in my sales career.
That still wear suits is down to almost none.
They wear them for only special meetings...
So the pastor should not always have to wear a suit.
Evangelist first time at a church yes..
That is what I do in business.

Some instances of church can be that way, though. But really, what is wrong with that, if that is the way a person feels led to minister, and it is effective with the ones to whom they are ministering? Did Jesus wear anything that distinguished him as a minister? I think not. Just dressed appropriately.
I am just saying we cannot become a "clerical collar" sort of people.
