The heresy hunters are still with us. Only now, instead of stakes, they use their books and radio programs to destroy those they consider heretics.... I'm concerned that heresy hunting may be turning into leukemia because some cultwatchers seem more intent on destroying parts of the body than healing the body....
Can you imagine if Peter and Paul visited a General Conference nowadays?
I can just imagine some of their comments!
"They don't even wear robes!"
"Look how form-fitting those suits are!"
"What's up with all of the screaming?"
"Their women aren't "silent" enough."
"Nobody offered to wash our feet."
Paul would be dubbed too radical and a fantic who preaches too hard.
Peter would be considered a legalist and in the flesh.
Imagine the fun they would have preaching against all they saw and heard.lol.
First of all, we'd need translators for them, but somehow, when the Spirit of the Lord starts to move, I think they won't need translators for those moments.
I think they would be AMAZED and they will GLORIFY GOD that the same Jesus they preached was still being preached today, with power and authority!
They would be proud!!!
They would feel compelled to shave for the sake of unity-- and they wouldn't complain about it.
I'm sure someone could translate for them - - I mean many pray that way - - "Thus sayeth the Lord, cometh untoeth me my children"!!!!
You know, I am thinking they might be a little more down to earth.....You know, they walked out during the first 30 minutes of the offering and got a bite to eat...
