Calipari to Kentucky?????

Memphis coach, John Calipari ,is rumored to be very interested in the Kentucky basketball coach position! I think he takes the money and runs!

Oh......and he'll bring his top rated recruiting class with him! Sorry, Memphis fans! It was a fun ride!

Gillespi was a bad move all around. I like Calipari as a coach, but I'm not sure how he'll handle Kentucky and all that comes with it.

Yeah, he is almost a god in Memphis and has about the most job security of any coach in the country. He also enjoys the rather unique position of playing in a much lesser conference but not being penalized for it.

True, BUT....double your salary and live in a better city? Wonder if he really slept on it last night?

I think it's a legacy issue! Kentucky is the most storied basketball program in the country. He would be the highest paid coach (5+ mil a year) in the highest profile position in the country!

The result: More exposure and more nationally televised games.

I have no doubt he'll go. I think he's stalling a day or so to make it appear that it wasn't an easy decision - - ya, right.
