Important note at the very bottom of the page...

Most of this post reprinted with permission of Rev. Chester Wright
I completely agree with that post and love it! There absolutely is a difference between a Conviction and a Doctrine.

Re: In Question Of My Doctrinal Stance.

I agree with what was posted on the blog.

However, I have a question. As ndavid stated, at the bottom of the page, it mentions that it was re-printed with permission by Chester Wright. Isn't he the one that hammered Bishop K. Haney about the TV resolution? If so, some of these points seem at odds with that.

Kind of vague when you say "MOST of this" is reprinted and from someone else. If I were that person I would want it to be clear what portion of the blog was what I said and what part was what JA said. Just my two cents worth.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.

"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."
